2104 Study Group Show

"In November 2014 we held our very first Performing Arts Show. Members have informed me that they really enjoyed the show and the performers also enjoyed themselves, which is what it was all about. The hall was a “sell out” and buzzing.
The Recorder Group started the show off and they were just excellent, hard to believe that some of the group members were just beginners a few months ago.
Fun Singers were next to perform and from the audience’s reactions they enjoyed their performance too, I certainly did!! Thanks must go to our conductor Jean Clark and our accompanists Dave Cadd and Greg Hart.
Our final act was Rock Bottom with Dave Cadd and Greg Hart on guitars and Helen Silver, Julia Lee and Helen Chant on vocals, they were all just marvellous and had the hall rocking. After the chairs had been removed and refreshments served Rock Bottom were still playing with some of our members dancing along as in their youth!
When Dave Silver, our chairman, first suggested the Performing Arts Show I thought what a wonderful way for our members to be entertained and for the group members performing to enjoy themselves, all at the same time. I’m sure that you all must agree that it worked well and we are looking forward to putting on another Performing Arts Show in the near future. Thank you for showing your support by joining us, this was a record turn out and you sang along too!"
