Like all other U3As Watford Park is a charity, and relies on volunteers to manage the day to day activities of the organisation, and to enable the smooth running of all the Study Groups and Events.
As well as those members who run the Study Groups and Events, we have an Executive Committee, the members of which are appointed by the wider membership of the U3A to oversee all of our activities. The members of the Executive Committee are also Trustees of the charity.
The duties of the Executive Committee are not onerous, and it is great way to make new friends and meet many of the members of the U3A, as well as making contacts in other local and national U3As.
If you might be interested in becoming a member of the Executive Committee at any time, please contact any of the current committee members listed below (click on their name to send an email), who will be happy to discuss it with you and provide further information. You would be welcome to attend a committee meeting to see for yourself how things work.
The Executive Committee meets monthly on the afternoon of the first Tuesday.
