Each meeting will take the form of a seminar on a particular technology, with a presenter providing a demonstration and answering questions. We endeavour to bring in experts who can advise on each topic. This might be someone from WPu3a or perhaps an external specialist.
You would not need to attend every meeting. For instance, if a meeting was going to study iPhones and you have an Android phone, you wouldn't need to attend.
The group will study whichever areas of technology members suggest. Examples: iPhones, Android phones, iPads, Android tablets, AI Art, Windows computers, Mac computers, smart TVs, scammers, security, photo processing, Whatsapp, email, Zoom. Again, these are just examples. It’s up to members to propose suggestions.
Due to the ad hoc nature of meetings it will be difficult finding a venue, so everyone is expected to do their best in taking their turn in hosting at their home.
This is not a standard type of interest group where your place is assured. Obtaining a place on each seminar will be on a first-to-accept basis.
