We are not professional musicians but we have considerable live-gig experience and play and sing to a near-professional level. Our forte is music from the 1960s pop scene.

Public Events Coming Up

We are working out dates for future gigs at the White Lion, Watford and the Rose & Crown, Rickmansworth. Watch this space.

We have agreed with Sean and Ausra, who run the White Lion on the St Albans Road, to be their house band. Their pub is a "local" with a particularly good reputation for food. They don't want to become another "music pub" but they do want to host occasional music evenings and The Rock Bottom Band will feature regularly.

 All White Lion gigs will be free and we would love to see you there. Here's a suggestion - go early and have a meal there before the gig. Local parking in Malden Road and Essex Road is free after 6.30pm.

We are available for u3a, charity and other organisations, and private bookings. 

If you are looking for a band for an event please feel free to contact us to check availability. Our particular specialism is up tempo covers from the 1960s when the Beatles and Stones were top of the pile and singles were made of vinyl and sold for 6s 8d. This music always seems to go down well at parties and dance events, particularly where guests lived through those magical years, just as we did.

We have an extensive repertoire and we are happy to tailor a playlist to match your particular requirements and preferences.

Recordings

We are primarily a live performance band but we have made some recordings. You can hear these on The Rock Bottom Band page on the Lemonrock website. Some were recorded in 2021 during our regular rehearsals - the sound isn't studio mix standard but it shows you what we would sound like in a live gig.  Others date back to 2017 when we held a session at the (now defunct) Titan Recording Studios in Watford.
